Hello Fellow Raspberry Tarts!

Tomorrow is the official "Hatting" for Karen. It is being held at my studio on 283 Duke Street West in Kitchener. I am not sure if you have been contacted by Sheku but the main door of the building is locked on weekends so you may have to call the studio 519 584-7859 to have someone come down to let you in. Also I do not know the numbers attending and do not have alot of chairs for everyone to sit. If you have a portable folding chair, it may be a good idea to bring it along. I did not hear from Sheku until Thursday of this week regarding times or any info and was attending a wake and funeral so this is the first opportunity I've had to post any info. Hope most of you check the blog before attending!

I am delighted, thrilled and humbled by the afore-mentioned " hatting" this Feb. 25th. My actual 50th BD was Feb 5th, which was celebrated with much frivolity, libations, and dancing. I am sooooo looking forward to the " official hatting ceremony"....and I want to thank all you bodacious tarts in advance for your friendship these past 5 ( can you believe it? ) years. I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but, I am ready to have a hatting good time, and look forward to being " ravishing in red ". Pretty kool when you actually look forward to turning 50 !

Ta-Ta for now, and hope to see as many of you as possible on Feb 25th. Keep those boa's fluffed.

Please note that you need to CALL our QM Sheku to let her know your thoughts about the insurance issue. If you want to make a general comment about it, you can do so here, but she may not see that, so DO call her.

Personally, I don't think we need to be spending money on insurance, but I will go along with the group. Besides, we all already signed a form that said we would go along with the group's decision when we renewed our membership.

If anyone has photos from our January event at Liaison College, please send them to me. As soon as I have a photo or two I will put up the new Herstory page for 2007. :)

Greetings and Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We have news about the insurance issue. Morison Insurance Brokers is the (Hamilton) company that will represent Southern Ontario chapters. They will divide groups into either clusters of eight chapters or 250 people. The cost per member will vary from about $6 to $20 a year depending on how many people are in each chapter. Also, we would need $1,000.00 in reserve as a deductible.

We need to decide and register before the 15th of February. Please let me know at (519)749-1830 what you feel. Sorry this is short notice, but there were some minor issues about the upgrade of the blogger that needed to be dealt with.

On to other things...we have our first "Hatting" coming up on February 25th. Karen BELL will be going from Pretty in Pink to Ravishing in Red. Congratulations Karen!!

The event will be at Judy's studio, Stone Photography 283 Duke St. W., Kitchener at 3:00 p.m.. Check here closer to the date for confirmation of timing.

Those attending, please bring your own libation and snacks to share. Let me know by February 22 if you can attend, again at (519)749-1830.

Many of you have signed up to organize a monthly "tea"...however, March is still free. Don't be shy!!! Who would like to take that date over?
